Article 2

General Health & Initial 7-Day Warranty

7-day coverage

Initial Health Status

The Breeder warrants that the Kitten is in good health at the time of transfer and has received age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Veterinary records will be provided upon transfer.

Mandatory Veterinary Examination

The Buyer agrees to have the Kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within seven (7) calendar days of taking possession.

7-Day Limited Warranty Conditions

If the Kitten is determined by a licensed veterinarian to be suffering from a pre-existing severe medical deficiency or acute viral infection within seven (7) days of arrival, the Buyer may return the Kitten to the Breeder for treatment or replacement.

Conditions for Voiding Warranty

This initial warranty is void if the Buyer fails to keep the Kitten confined indoors in a single quiet room during the transition period, introduces the Kitten to other household pets before a veterinary checkup, alters the diet abruptly, or if the condition is caused by trauma or accidental injury.

Exclusions from Short-Term Warranty

This warranty does not cover minor/nuisance conditions (such as fleas, intestinal parasites, upper respiratory illness, or transient diarrhea resulting from environmental stress or dietary changes).

Innocent Heart Murmurs

As innocent heart murmurs are common in rapidly growing young kittens and frequently resolve by 5–6 months of age, minor low-grade murmurs detected during initial checkups do not constitute a breach of warranty unless confirmed as structural heart disease by a veterinary cardiologist.

Article 3

Genetic Health Guarantee

36–60 months

Inherited Conditions Guarantee 36 months

The Breeder guarantees the Kitten against clinical symptoms of Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA-b) and Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PK-Def) for thirty-six (36) months from the date of birth, provided diagnosis is confirmed via official DNA and clinical testing by a certified laboratory and veterinary specialist.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Warranty

Parental Testing

The Breeder warrants that breeding stock is DNA-tested and/or screened for HCM.

HCM Coverage Up to 36 months

If the Kitten is diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist (via echocardiogram) prior to thirty-six (36) months of age, the Breeder shall compensate the Buyer by offering either: a) A full refund of the purchase price (with the Buyer retaining ownership of the cat, provided both parties agree it is in the animal's best interest); OR b) A replacement kitten of equal value from the next available litter.

Fatal Congenital / Genetic Defects 36 months

Should the Kitten die within thirty-six (36) months of birth due to a proven congenital or genetic defect, the Breeder will replace the Kitten with one of equal value.

Claim Requirement

Claims under this provision require a necropsy report performed at the Buyer’s expense by an impartial, licensed Veterinary Pathologist, explicitly confirming that death was directly caused by an inherited condition.

Breeder’s Right to Second Opinion

The Breeder reserves the right to request a second opinion/diagnostic review from a veterinarian or specialist of the Breeder’s choice.
